THE RISING LIONESS

Thank you to Chris Corley, for donating Zero Gravity for The Rising Lioness theme.

The Weight Of Empathy with Lucas Spiegel - Part 2

Erica Salvemini converses with Lucas Spiegel, Author of The Weight of Empathy, for a soulful discussion on humanity’s relationship with animals and the fortitude one needs to navigate an often cruel world.

Lucas Spiegel is a marvelously talented writer whose stories are heartwarming and soul-inspiring. His book is filled with 100’s of gorgeously photographed landscapes, animals and the people who love the animals.

Spiegel’s courageous 22 month epic journey is a story of transformational and spiritual growth as Lucas traverses the world volunteering at animal sanctuaries which often becomes his safe haven as well.

Lucas Spiegel studied and practiced architecture in the U.S., Canada, and India, before leaving it all behind, in an effort to rethink what it is to live a meaningful life. Since then he's traveled the world, started a philanthropic enterprise, and continues the process of learning and reinvention. Along the way he enjoys playing frisbee, making things with his hands, and befriending every dog who crosses his path.
